At Bible Baptist, we believe that baptism is one of the first displays of obedience a new follower of Christ should make. It is a public profession that you have trusted in Jesus Christ as the sole source of salvation from your sins!
Baptism is scriptural!
Matthew 28:19 - "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"
Acts 2:41 - "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."
Acts 8:12 - "But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women."
Acts 10:48 - "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days."
At Bible Baptist, we welcome into membership all who have called upon the name of Jesus Christ for salvation (Romans 10:9, 13) and have been scripturally baptized. Jesus modeled the importance of personal discipleship through His relationship with His own twelve disciples. At Bible Baptist, we believe that personal disicpleship should be the focal point of a church (2 Timothy 2:2).
